Niagara falls has been on my bucket list for many years. Now I finally got to see it. But my experience around it was way more different than I could imagine.
Most of the people travel to such a nice place with your love, your friends or your family. My plan 1 month ahead was to travel here with a flirt I had on an earlier travel. But that went wrong. So some days earlier when I was out dancing kizomba, I told my story to a random guy when he asked me what I was doing here. 2 days later, we were driving to Niagara falls. I didn’t actually know him, but I kinda felt I could trust him.
” People always tell you how to be careful and not talk to strangers. But they don’t tell you to follow your intuition if you can trust someone or not.”
I wanted to see Niagara falls by day and by night, and I also wanted to walk on the hiking trails near by. Since we had a car, we did this in one day.
First we went to the falls to see it in daylight. It was beautiful! I always use some time to capture beautiful places in pictures.

A little bit later, we drove 8 km away from the falls to Niagara Glen Nature Reserve. I wanted to see some more nature, and this was a place with a lot of paths down to the river.
The sun was going down, and before we drove back to the falls, he got to see a third version of me this day. Me when I’m happy, me when I’m hungry, and me when I’m sad. We were talking about all the different feeling and things that shows up in life, and how to handle them. This was a friend I needed right now.
Niagara falls by night
To get a nice view of the falls, we tried to look as nice as we could, tried on a lipstick in a shop, and went to Skylon tower. We smiled to the people at the bottom and got a table for two in the fancy restaurant in the tower that slowly turn around all the time. Niagara falls was now lighten up with many beautiful colors.

I can now check off Niagara falls from my bucket list. The story around it was way more different from what I could imagine, but it became a very nice story and memory.
Always stay open minded 🙂
